What if your healing started now—instead of someday?
Trauma therapy that honors what you lost, carried, and now wish to reclaim.
You’ve tried moving on, but the past keeps tapping you on the shoulder.
It feels like you’ve been through something no one understands.
We live in a world that talks us into locking away our pain. “Move on with your life,” they say. “It’s in the past… let it go.”
Except trauma has a way of not letting you just forget. It’ll find you in the still air, bullying and deceiving you into believing that you’re still battling for your sanity or safety.
This is because the past often isn’t even in the past. Instead, the wounded parts of you are still in there—alive in your body, frozen in time, and shouting through symptoms that might manifest as chaos, depression, perfectionism, angry outbursts, mistrust, or shame.
The truth is, when we lock away our pain, we also lock away our wholeness.
If this resonates, I can promise you that there’s a better way.
therapy that honors what you lost, carried, and Now wish to reclaim.
Your most powerful rise can begin in the ruins you survived.
When trauma storms over your life, it changes you. But, on the other side of healing, something powerful unfolds.
Those awful, unspeakable things that shoved you into dark places? They can be gathered as mighty tools of connection, invention, purpose, and wisdom. You can learn how to collaborate with your pain and trauma in ways that expand your heart, explode your creativity, and light up new pathways of possibility. I’d love to show you how.
Any of these resonate with you?
You watch others move through life, seeming so capable and free, while you feel like a prisoner of the past.
You can’t remember the last time you relaxed on vacation or woke up with a smile on your face.
You find it impossible to explain why you startle so easily, or why you can even feel lonely in crowded rooms.
You think about how wonderful it would be if you truly enjoyed things, rather than feeling like every moment is something to survive.
Who were you never allowed to be? It’s time you become them.
Survival has done its job. Now, let’s give safety its turn.
It’s like you’ve been living with one foot against the brake and one on the gas. Reliving the hurt in your mind. Smiling through pain. Wondering why others seem to have it so easy. Hoping that, one day, you’ll feel safe and whole in your body again. Maybe even like yourself again.
What if you didn’t have to live that way anymore?
In my room, you’ll begin to attune to your body’s wise signals and partner with the powerful healing mechanisms that are naturally built within you.
There’s a more enjoyable way to live that’s possible for you—one that doesn't involve bracing, flinching, or masking through your days, but one that allows you to live in a mind and body that feel more like a haven and less like a haunted house.
Yes, healing is possible. And it’s possible for you.
Empowering Trauma Therapy in Nashville
Therapy is a deeply human experience and I treat it like one.
My approach calls upon current, evidence-based trauma therapy modalities designed to heal relational hurts, empower self-worth, restore safety to the nervous system, and create real and lasting emotional change.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): Just as you were born into a family, your mind is home to a family of sub-personalities—each with their own beliefs, fears, and values. When trauma finds you, these parts take on extreme roles to survive the pain. In session, we create the care and safety needed to unburden these parts and harmonize your inner world.
Restoration Therapy (RT): This attachment-based approach pulls in neuroscienceto repair the relational traumas that shaped your self-concept early in life. When connection felt cold, conditional, or unpredictable, you may’ve folded in beliefs that now drive symptoms of depression, anger, or codependence. In session, we rehabilitate your self-trust so you can live from choice and wholeness, not reflex and wounds. .

Let’s create something powerful together.
Somatic and Nervous System Care: Calling upon elements of polyvagal theory, sensorimotor psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, and neuronutrition, I’ll guide you through uniquely curated sequences of breath work, grounding exercises, gentle movement, and lifestyle habits to bring forth the wisdom of your body and remind it of the harmony that’s possible.
Experiential Therapy Techniques: I use a collection of energizing tools to spark change and allow you to vividly see more of what’s available to you. From sand tray to guided imagery, I create artful experiences to embolden self-expression, magnify impact, and allow you to “try on” new emotions, perspectives, and stories.
Brainspotting (BSP): Trauma creates disconnections between the brain and body, holding primitive survival modes in our nervous system—ones we no longer need but can’t flush out with simple talk therapy. With BSP, we can discharge these traumas quickly and efficiently. To learn more about Brainspotting, go here.

FAQs: Trauma Therapy

While I continuously devote myself to a diverse range of current, evidence-based trauma trainings beyond graduate school, my passion for understanding trauma began early in life.
Prior to becoming a therapist, after being shaped by personal suffering and undergoing my own trauma therapy, I spent more than a decade as a journalist, working closely with some of the world’s leading mental health and spiritual thought leaders. These experiences sparked a passion in me for understanding the power of attachment and the brilliance of the brain and nervous system, and pointed me toward the virtues of post-traumatic growth.
With science, humility, and heart, I approach the treatment of trauma with devout seriousness, and will never stop being a student of its complexities and potentialities.
I wholeheartedly believe in your capacity to heal and wiggle free from its grip—no matter what you’ve traveled through.

Power Haven Therapy offers an artful and energizing approach that makes it unique from some other therapeutic experiences. I believe that therapy can and should unlock your aliveness and joy.
With a soul-led, nervous system-aligned, and brain-wise gaze, I aim to not only be a safe space for you to be fully heard, seen, and witnessed, but to equip you with a wealth of empowering tools and life-changing invitations that allow you to move through the world with different eyes.
My strength lies in teaching clients how to become their most reliable sources of confidence, courage, clarity, and wisdom. This is a sacred experience that guides you back home to the wholeness you never lost, but that traumatized parts of you believed they had to keep hidden from view.
So, whether you're heartbroken over the loss of a relationship you believed would last forever, experienced a life-altering event that violated your sense of trust and safety within the world, or still healing from a childhood that crushed your self-worth, stole your peace, and filled you with shame, I can help you. And I'd be delighted to.

Absolutely, you can! In fact, the majority of trauma sufferers don’t meet the full diagnostic criteria for PTSD. If trauma is showing up in your life, clouding your sense of self, eclipsing your power and ease, and contaminating your relationships to any degree, trauma therapy can still be exceedingly helpful for you.

While no two people are alike, there are some themes that commonly appear at my doorway. If you see yourself in some of them, it may be an indication that you’ve come to the right place:
It feels like a part or parts of you are still “stuck” in the past.
You have a sense of being haunted—a heavy feeling hanging in the background of your thoughts and experiences, distracting you from being totally present.
You’re almost never not on edge—even while on vacation, at a fun social gathering, or anywhere that is otherwise safe.
You find yourself taking moderate to extreme efforts to avoid certain activities, people, places—to the detriment of your aliveness and joy.
Your relationships are impacted. Say, for example, you may struggle to trust that people are who they say they are, or you tend to “overreact” in the moment, only to shame spiral later on.
It fees like your body is holding onto something—perhaps communicating through migraine headaches, stressful dreams, extreme fatigue, pangs of hunger and weakness, and beyond. To your frustration, you keep hearing, “You’re fine. Manage your stress.” Except you’re not fine.

Absolutely, I do! While most of my clients prefer in-person sessions, that isn’t possible for everyone. Luckily, some studies show that online trauma therapy is just as effective as in-person appointments. I’ve witnessed incredible results with it.
For those with busy schedules, work and childcare demands, limited local options, or disabilities that make travel challenging, online therapy can feel like a godsend.
You don’t have to hold what haunts you anymore—certainly not alone. With online therapy, healing and recovery are more accessible than ever. I’d be honored to play a role in yours.
