Lacey Johnson, MA, AMFT
It’s time to believe in yourself—and finally feel it in your bones.
I offer more than therapy; I offer sanctuary.
I’m Lacey—a therapist, mom, wife, trauma warrior, and fellow imperfect human who’s willing to see the world through your eyes.
With curiosity and heart, I’ll lean into your burning questions, desires, and aches—laughing with you, honoring each complexity, and celebrating the sacred shifts along the way.
I specialize in burnout, trauma, low self-esteem, and the relational patterns that quietly run our lives. My approach is creative, compassionate, and energizing—delivering science-backed tools with soulful depth.
More sanctuary than stuffy clinical hour, this is a return to your wholeness. It’s a nervous system exhale—where all parts of you are allowed to stretch out, speak up, and breathe freely.
So, if you’re tired of surviving a life that looks decent on paper but feels hollow in your bones—let’s build the one you deserve.
How different your life might feel if you believed this:
Seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s evidence of your strength.
At the heart of my work is the stubborn belief that transformation is always on the table.
Long before I became a trauma therapist, I was a client. I know what it feels like to be chin-deep in pain—and to wonder if it’ll ever end.
With a personal history shaped by tragic loss and early grief, I’ve traveled the divide between a trauma-driven and trauma-informed life. I know what it’s like to survive in silence—and I’ve discovered what’s possible when we finally unburden our pain and give our wholeness the breath it deserves.
Today, as a trauma-focused therapist, I believe this with my whole being: As long as you're still breathing, transformation is on the table—should you choose to reach for it.
No matter what you've been told. No matter what you’ve carried. No matter how long it's lived inside you.
In our work together, I’ll advocate for your aliveness, your clarity, your self-trust—whatever that uniquely means for you. I’ll help you come home to the power that never left, but was muted behind the noise of protection and pain.
Yes, change is possible. And yes, it’s possible for you.
This is what it feels like to work with me…
I’m here to help you reclaim—your peace, your voice, your presence, your life.
My love for humans led me here—first as a seeker, then as a storyteller, and now as a therapist.
Before earning my master’s degree, becoming a trauma-focused therapist, and opening the doors of Power Haven Therapy, I spent over a decade as a nationally recognized mental health and relationships journalist. I wrote for platforms including Oprah Daily, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Apple News, translating cutting-edge research and soulful insights into powerful, real-world solutions.
I collaborated with some of the most influential voices in mental health and personal growth: spiritual thought leaders like Deepak Chopra, Gabby Bernstein, and Julia Cameron, neuroscientists like Dr. Caroline Leaf, and psychologists like Dr. Edith Eger, best known for her leadership as a Holocaust survivor and PTSD specialist, and Dr. Shefali Tsabary, whose trailblazing work on conscious parenting has invited healing for countless families on an international scale.
Together, we helped bring attachment science, emotional intelligence, and inner child work into the mainstream.
But eventually, I felt called to midwife lasting transformation—not just describe it.
Today, my therapeutic approach blends science-backed modalities like internal family systems (IFS), restoration therapy (RT), Gottman Method, and Brainspotting with sacred presence, intuition, and deep respect for the body’s wisdom. This is therapy for those who’ve carried too much, too long—who sense there’s more for them than a life of chronic burnout, unhealed pain, and survival-mode relationships.
In session, we listen for your body’s wise signals—the ones that live behind the static of your protection and wounds. We bring completion and restore safety to your nervous system. We rebuild your sense of being within the world. And, most profoundly, we welcome every part of you home.

Therapy with me is…
…where your pain is believed, and new possibilities rise from the places you feared were forever stuck.
…where protective patterns gently unclench, your nervous system exhales, and your spark is felt again.
…where you’re allowed to rest, to roar, to rise—a return the wholeness that was never lost.
…a reclamation of the person you’ve always been beneath the burdens and traumas that’ve eclipsed your peace and power.
Therapy with me is not…
…another space where you have to perform, please, over-function, or shrink to be accepted.
…venting in circles or rehashing pain without meaningful exploration or movement.
…surface-level coping skills that stop at what your deeper Self truly needs to heal.
…about blaming others, shaming yourself, or chasing perfection as evidence of worth.
