Lacey Johnson, MMFT
My heart for humans led me here—first as a seeker, then as a storyteller, and now as a therapist.

Before earning my master's degree in marriage and family therapy and launching Power Haven, I spent a decade as a mental health journalist for leading magazines and media, from Oprah Daily and Marie Claire to AppleNews, illuminating the depths of human experience through stories that centered on women's wellness.
I collaborated with top voices in psychology, counseling, neuroscience, and self-development, including Deepak Chopra, Dr. Caroline Leaf, Dr. Shefali Tsabary, Gabby Bernstein and beyond, to transform research into down-to-earth insights that inspired awakenings and sparked change.

My personal history is laced with both beauty and brutality as well—surviving a family-wide tragic loss in childhood, stumbling through a maze of trauma-driven choices and relationships throughout early adulthood, fertility struggles, and walking away from a near-fatal accident not long ago.
Those experiences, both personally and professionally, lit a series of fires within me. Eventually, I felt called to midwife hope and healing for others — not just describe it.
Today, my trauma-informed approach to therapy is brain-wise, nervous system-aligned, and compassionately soul-led. It's for those who are fed up with fantasizing about their wholeness and are ready to experience the warmth of their own power, resilience, and joy. My specialty is supporting those who are navigating a life transition–whether it's one they've long ached for, are actively seeking, or never saw coming.
In our sessions, we'll get clear about the painful patterns that frustrate and puzzle you, and I'll help you build a life that's led more by courage and possibility than wounds. With my guidance, you'll reconvene with the parts of yourself that may've been waiting a long time to be witnessed–and, ultimately, welcome them back home.
