Lacey Johnson, MMFT
My love for humans led me here—first as a seeker, then as a storyteller, and now as a therapist.

Before completing my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and opening the doors of Power Haven, I was a mental health and relationships journalist for leading magazines and media, including Oprah Daily, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, AppleNews, and beyond, illuminating the human experience through stories that centered on women's empowerment and wellness.
I interviewed top voices in psychology, relationship counseling, neuroscience, and personal growth, including Deepak Chopra, Dr. Caroline Leaf, Dr. Shefali Tsabary, Gabby Bernstein, and beyond, to transform research into down-to-earth insights to inspire awakenings and spark change.

My personal history was built by beauty and brutality as well—surviving family-wide, tragic losses in early childhood, stumbling through a maze of trauma-driven choices and abusive relationships in early adulthood, and surviving a near-fatal accident not long ago.
Those experiences lit a series of fires within me. Eventually, I felt called to be a midwife of hope and healing — not just describe it.
Today, my soul-led approach to therapy is brain-wise, nervous system-aligned, and compassionately attuned. Drawing on my trainings in Brainspotting, The Gottman Method, attachment-wise parts work, and post-traumatic growth, it's for those who are tired of dreaming about their wholeness and are ready to experience the power of their own resilience, freedom, and joy.

Because, no matter what you've been through, transformation is always on the table.
My specialties include reversing burnout to create revitalization and supporting those who are navigating life transitions of every kind— whether ones they're aching to realize, reluctantly seeking, or never imagined would come.
At Power Haven, we'll clarify the stubborn patterns that cause you shame and heartache, and I'll show you how to build a life that's led more by courage and possibility than wounds. You'll reconnect with the sacred parts of yourself that may've been waiting a long time to be witnessed–and, ultimately, welcome them back home.
